Pondering video blogthroughs...

Let's lay this out.

I'm thinking of going into full-out Spoony-style video reviews. Redo Tales of Symphonia into video format and see how things turn out; if they go well, I'll redo what I did for Tales of the Abyss so far and finish that one out, and then do Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. If they don't go well, I'll stick to text blogthroughs. Having my first script written (for most practical purposes) is only maybe 5-10% of the battle, so I have a long way to go.

There are several things I'm not sure about and that's what this thread is for: to lay out the thoughts floating in my mind while I consider this. I'm not explicitly asking for your thoughts, per se, but I'd appreciate them. And just to be clear, this is a personal project. I'd love your counsel and advice and all of that, but I'm not going to take it all in as anything having to do with the site--I'll just take it in as me. I might even come up with my own answers, but I might not--and that's why I'm putting them out there.

Voice

  • Voice it myself in a natural voice? (Easiest in one sense, hardest in another since I don't like listening to myself and that would make editing a royal pain.)
  • Find someone else to voice it, some way and somehow?
  • Voice it myself in an "in-character" voice?
  • Voice it myself with some kind of special effects applied?
  • Narrate as one person?
  • Narrate as multiple people?
  • Narrate with a co-host?

Name

  • Use the name Jiggy? (Not catchy enough? Too short?)
  • Come up with a new name?
  • Or, again, just find somebody else to do the actual speaking?

Association

  • Associate it with this site?
  • Associate it with a new site and port this forum to it?
  • Associate it with a new site and start from scratch?
  • Associate it with no site at first and only add one if it gets a viewership? (Maybe this site was done backward: I made a place and had no idea whether anyone would care about it. I could do the opposite--make a video and then if and only if it actually got any kind of viewership would I create a site for it.)

original outdated and completely irrelevant post in here:
If I want to turn my blogthroughs into a video series, I'll need a name. Even if I don't want to, I thought that maybe one consistent name would be better--but maybe I'm wrong and maybe they're nice as they are. You decide!

I'm making a list of potential candidates if I do decide to go with a title and here's what I have so far: almost all of these were thought up by other people, since over the years a lot of people have had fun with the name "Jiggy" and twisted it into new forms. XD I thank them for their contributions!

Jigsaw Massacre - This name was actually created after Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but the problem is that AVGN already has the whole "massacre" angle kind of sewn up...

Practicing Jigamy - I kind of like this one because gameplay winds up marrying story even though I only like one of the two. If that makes sense!

Peanut Butter and Jiggy Reviews - I really like this name, but it kind of implies the reviews would be short, which they aren't...

Jiggapalooza - Now this one implies they'd be long, which is nice!

Jigantic Blogthroughs or (if I do only games I don't like) Jigantic Problems - Same as above!

Others:

Jigarooni Blogthroughs
Jigathon Blogthroughs
Jiggularity
Jignified Deconstruction
In Jig Time
The Jig Is Up
Jig-o-rama
Jumpin' Jiggyjacks Reviews

Of course, maybe my name shouldn't be a part of it at all--that's always an option. Anyway, this is just the start of a list and I'm not sure where I'll go on this path yet.

7/29/10 later edit: Jumping Space Princess, Game Echo or Gamecho, and Jiggyplays are also up.
7/29/10 even later edit: Deconstruction Derby.

"The Jiggy"
"The Jiggy with [insert game]"
"The Jiggy with [insert game] (or... [insert phrase])"

example: "The Jiggy with Tales of Vesperia (or... How I learned to love again!)"
or you can make it even punnier~! "The Jiggy with Final Fantasy 8 (or... The ENDLESS waltz D: )"

Brand yourself! xD
