3 blind dates

- Date #1 -

When: Saturday, June 12
What: Shopping, eating
Where: Lloyd Center Shopping Mall
Who: Ayu, a 19-year-old Japanese girl
Why: Because I like girlz

It's the date that never actually happened.
I'd been talking with this girl by phone for awhile and we finally agreed to meet at the mall.
I waited 1 hour before she finally calls, and I hear just a bunch of school-yard giggling.
I ask her who's that in the background?
She replies: "Oh, I have to babysit my 10 year old cousin, so she's coming with us."

Not exactly the ideal date..
So, being the good sport that I am, I wait another hour for them to arrive, but nobody shows up.
I head home and immediately erase her number from my phone.


- Date #2 -

When: Sunday, June 13
What: Eating, walking
Where: Lovejoy Bakers Restaurant, Waterfont Park
Who: Alice, a 27-year-old Taiwanese lady
Why: Because I like girlz

She shows up to the restaurant with her dog, which was a great ice breaker (I love dogs).
We start talking, and quickly realize we have nothing in common.
She is quite independent and mature, so her personality did not lend well to my playful/sarcastic/silly demeanor.
I've also noticed that I can behave in so many different ways, depending on who I'm with.
She was kinda nice, but totally boring and kept yawning on our date (lol).
As far as physicality, she was just an inch shorter than me (5'9"), but had really thick legs and no butt.
She also had boogers in her nose.
My tip to ladies everywhere: clean out yo' nose before you go out on a date!
Other than that, it was a relaxing Sunday.
I came back home sunburned, though. hehe


- Date #3 -

When: Saturday, June 19
What: Eating, watching a movie
Where: Pastini's Italian Restaurant, Bridgeport Village Cinemas
Who: Ruby, a 19-year-old Caucasian girl
Why: Because I like girlz

I cannot wait to meet this girl.
She seems so cool and we seem to match up very well on the phone.
Super confident and funny, lives in the country, and very very pretty~
I will report back what happens on Saturday!

**UPDATE**
I met Ruby in Salem, Oregon to eat breakfast and watch the movie INCEPTION.
It was a great time!
Lots and lots of laughs were had. XD

Oh, I'm also getting her into Pokemon Platinum, and the series in general.
In fact, she's borrowing my Platinum Official Guide right now and picking out her favorites. haha

When we went out to eat, I thought it would fun to take the Platinum Guide into the restaurant with us,
so I could show her how it works.

Ruby joined this place as member: deadnotsleeping
I customized the avatar she has of anime girl cosplaying Eevee. ^__^
It resembled her quite well, actually.

I can just imagine the awkwardness of date #2 on your list, though, with the personality clash. :3

it actually wasn't too awkward..
But when it's obvious to both of us that there won't be a second meeting,
it kinda makes the date a bit pointless.

Going on blind dates can be a bit awkward, and not ideal.

But if I can find someone who matches up with my personality and sensibility,
then I think it'll all be worth it.

Also, another problem with Date #2 is that she didn't look anything like her pics..
She was wayyyyy better looking in her pics.. bleh

I have enough guy friends, and girls are just more fun to hang with, imo.
