you might be on to something, actually..

Also, the potential online capabilities of a DS2 could make this THE Pokemon game to have!

We'll see what happens at E3!

Nintendo does seem to treat Pokemon in a somewhat unique way relative to their other games, but all in all I'm just expecting that fifth-gen will have extra functionality on a DS2 while not being exclusive to it.

5th Gen pokemon would be such a first killer app. for DS2, tho.

Man, remember when Dawn of Sorrow came out in the very beginning of the DS life?

Not really a killer app., but it gave it some cred.

I meant in relation to their other POKEMAN games...Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire were revealed in January of 2002 and released in November of that year...Pokemon Pearl/Diamond were revealed almost TWO YEARS before they were released...This time-frame they are working with for this new game is just very odd...

Dawn of Sorrow wasn't out for eleven months. o_o I think Meteos and Kirby Canvas Curse were some of the earliest killer apps in my mind (though I'm not very fond of KCC, but I realize that for many people its innovative qualities were a strong driver). If not those, then Advance Wars: Dual Strike and Nintendogs released on August 22nd, about a month and a half before Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow.

I think of DoS as part of the DS' astounding first holiday season, which featured that game, Mario Kart DS, Metroid Prime Pinball, Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, and Animal Crossing: Wild World all released within a couple months, accompanied in the same timeframe by GBA titles Mario Tennis Power Tour, Final Fantasy IV Advance, and Dr. Mario & Puzzle League. Really cool stuff.

Well, Ruby/Sapphire are an indication that it's not completely strange--and just as another example, in Japan Nintendo released Fire Red/Leaf Green and Emerald in the same year. So I don't find it too strange, I suppose...

Tomorrow? I saw on Serebii that news was expected either in the April 11th episode in Japan or in CoroCoro's issue coming April 15th (with leaks expected well before then), but where's this coming from?

the upcoming issue of CoroCoro magazine, which releases this April 15th,
will contain new information on the upcoming Gen-5 Pokémon games.
Before the magazine reaches news stands, however,
Pokémon Sunday will be revealing the games in a “shock announcement” on-air.

CoroCoro information tends to leak before the actual magazine reaches newsstands, so I was hoping today would be that day.. >>
