Specialized threads like "list your game purchases this year" will still be open material, but for a general topic, this is your place. We're still small enough that I can tally your numbers every so often and update this first post. Probably.

And do feel free to mention games you've sold, since even if I said not to I'm sure some people would skew the numbers anyway and I'd have no way of knowing who. :P

Did Microsoft put out an even newer version of the 360 hardware since Falcon?

I kind of get the feeling that, at best, the newer versions just delay the RROD. From what I understand, its mostly just a basic design failure of the 360. Also, I don't think people gave them a long enough chance to fail before proclaiming Falcons, and even Jaspers, are more resistant to RROD.

I have a Jasper, though I think in 10 years, I won't be able to still play it like I can my SNES.

Hive, yeah they'll still repair it. The worse part though is that the turn around time can be up to a month before they get you a new 360. Sometimes longer. Did you send yours in yet, Canadian?

Failure rates for Jaspers aren't anything too outrageous at the moment from what I've seen. Though it is one of those 'time will tell', situations.

Wonder why it's so difficult for a company like Microsoft to make reliable hardware? O_o

At least they make cool names like 'Jasper' for their hardware revisions. lol

Yeah, that and the fact that it was basically a new Parodius was what made it a must buy. I'm a Mine fan too, so the joystick was also required. LOL

I've been doing this since the original PS1. I had Lunar:SSSC for the longest time before getting a PS1. Only requirement for buying a game for a system I don't own is that I KNOW I'm getting the system eventually. I learned that the hard way with the N64. Got it for my birthday, but didn't have a game till Christmas (5 months later). Granted, that was when I was younger and didn't have money either. ^_^;
