I wonder why the DS Monsters games have such angry-looking, brooding heroes. I mean, when I think of Dragon Quest, I think of one of these and not so much the other:

Dude needs a chill pill before he grows up to become Squall! This whole phenomenon is like American Kirby except actually canonical.
Anyway, I also wonder why they showed the heroes of the GBC DQ Monsters games in there. I'd sure rather be them. :P
personally, I would wait for the inevitable 3DS sequel,
but there's no telling if this game will sell enough in NA to justify a future localization.

A 3DS sequel would be prettier, no doubt. 3DS is going to need to pick up in sales before Dragon Quest is ready to go to it, though, seeing how Square-Enix favors the guaranteed cash cow systems.

Wrong.
Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime 3 was already announced for 3DS.
S-E will have a new Joker entry prepped before Spring 2012, I'm betting.

Oh, guess the mainline DQ model doesn't apply to spinoffs. In that case, yeah, I can see how DQMJ2 would be pointless since there'll be a better one eventually. :octokittyrun
DQM:J2 is not Professional, according to GAF's Aeana.
