Even though Pokemon is my favorite series, the only attention I've paid to Black and White news is reading quick news blurbs on Serebii--I never watch the gameplay videos or anything like that, because I know I'll love it anyway. I've also done the same with Etrian Odyssey III, Dragon Quest IX, and most Fire Emblem games even though I'm always there day one. I refused to watch even a single level of Mega Man 10 before its release, and I think I did the same with Mega Man 9.

By contrast, I usually read a lot about games I don't know if I'll want. It's a more involved process to go learn every detail from scratch instead of knowing the entire gameplay balance and physics right off the bat.

there's only one series I've ever avoided spoilers for, and that's Ace Attorney.

Those who've played the games know exactly what I'm talking about. =P

I usually soak up as much as I possibly can. I never go into a "blackout" mode.

Consequently I can count the number of games I didn't enjoy in the past couple years on one hand.

I usually don't read about the game, but I will watch the trailers to get myself pumped. It makes me so excited!!

Valkyria Chronicles trailers got me so pumped to get a PS3 down the road.
I can't wait until then~ haha
